"Good Enough" Affirmations |

The following statements of affirmation should be repeated frequently during the day (either internally or out loud) as an aid in transforming perfectionistic thinking to excellence thinking. Affirmation statements put into positive words those beliefs that lend direction and support to a chosen goal. Obsessive-oriented perfectionists often do well with affirmations, because they tend to repeat various statements to themselves anyway in the effort to maintain self-control. |

After reading the following list, choose one affirmation that feels right for you to focus on. Repeat it whenever you find yourself standing in line, driving, waiting for something, and other moments when your mind is not occupied. Sometimes, if you repeat it many times, you may find that the affirmation begins to repeat itself without any conscious effort on your part. Repeat the affirmation you choose for at least two or three days and then choose another one to focus on. |
