life is a drag. Without the money that comes from my motivation, who wants to live? Who wants a crappy existence, worrying about the basic necessities of life? I represent abundance, not just scraping by in life. |

Sure, sometimes I promise him things I can't deliver. Don't all the other parts of him do the same? We all promise more than we can deliver. And, yes, I admit itsometimes I push him to desire things he doesn't really need. I mean, this is America, land of conspicuous consumption, right? |

You want him to sit there feeling fear when he is trading? You want to undermine his strength and courage? |

Fear: Please don't misunderstand. He is not being undermined just because I make sure he feels my presence. I would be willing to make room for you if you will respect the part that I play instead of always calling me names and never giving me my due. |

You're pretty full of yourself, aren't you? I mean, taking credit for his motivation to achieve, establish a profession, do well, and build a solid lifeall because of you, huh? Get real! I don't believe that for a minute. There are so many other motivators beyond you that you can't acknowledge as playing their part. Like every other voice, you overemphasize your own importance. |

Greed: OK, I'll stop calling you names. I have resisted seeing how much you and I are similar in certain ways. I can't seem to get past the difference in our style. All you do is make him fearful of loss while all I want to do is pump him up, make him feel good. We are both afraid of being dismissed, of not being taken seriously. But we really do seem to need each other for our mutual survival. I guess if you weren't around I might push him too far at times, then he'd hate me and maybe permanently stop listening to me. I couldn't live with that. |

Fear: Yes, did you see how he was flipping back and forth between us this morning, when the NASDAQ was down 85 points? After last week's miserable down market, today the techs continued to plummet. |

He heard you say it might be getting close to the time to strike, that while the blood is not yet covering the street, it's looking pretty brutal. Then I came in and reminded him to hold off, that it's still too early to do any bottom fishing. Still too |
